Marketing Intern
UNDISCOVERED SF is a non-profit venture designed to jump-start economic activity and public awareness of SOMA Pilipinas. UNDSCVRD was inspired by our late friend and marketing mastermind Marco Jastillana. To honor his memory and to uplift the next generation of creative thought leaders, the Jastillana family and Kultivate Labs unveiled the Brownthought Academy (BA): Marketing Bootcamp.
My main responsibilities included scheduling social posts and managing the content calendar using Asana and Sprout Social, updating the Undiscovered Squarespace website to feature current events and improve UX, and drafting newsletters and A/B testing them on Mailchimp to optimize open/click rates. I also learned the basics of Facebook Business Manager to create audiences and run paid ads.
For our intern final project, I helped brainstorm, plan, and execute two original campaigns to help fundraise for the second round of Brownthought Academy interns. These campaigns were Adopt Kapwa Gardens and Brownthoughts Greeting Cards.
Being a Filipino-American born and raised in the South of Market neighborhood, I'm so thankful to get to work with an organization that hits so close to home.
